Septarian stones, also known as concretion stones or dragon stones, are believed to have several magical properties related to grounding, protection, and emotional healing. They are thought to promote communication, creativity, and a connection to the Earth's energy. Additionally, Septarian is said to help with healing, both physically and emotionally, and may aid in meditation and manifestation. 

These are concretions, which are hardened, compact masses of rock that form around a central point, often organic matter like decaying sea life. As the concretion dries and shrinks, cracks or septa (hence the name "septarian") form within it. These cracks then become filled with minerals like calcite (yellow) and aragonite (brown), creating the characteristic patterns. The "brown geode" aspect refers to the brown aragonite that often lines the cracks and fills the cavities within the septarian nodule. Septarian nodules are known for their distinctive appearance, often with a rough, gray or brown exterior and a polished interior revealing the yellow and brown crystalline structures. 

These nodules are typically found in sedimentary rocks, particularly those formed in marine environments, and are thought to be millions of years old.
